JOB DESCRIPTION

The compliance Tax, HR & Procedures is responsible for developing compliance programs, reviewing company policies,implementing procedures, advising management, and propose solutions on possible risks of the Tunis entity.

 

ROLE PURPOSE

The compliance Officer (Taxes, HR & Procedures) will support the company in its growth, he/she ensures that the company functions are in a legal and ethical manner while meeting its business goals.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Tax

  • Tax/VAT return follow-up in link with the account officer, make sure that the company complies with tax laws and that Tax/VAT returns are prepared and paid in a timely manner.
  • Assessment and providing guidance to management on any risks related to payroll taxes, corporate taxes, VAT, registration duties and excise duties, in general in any fiscal matters.
  • Coordinate with the account officer in preparation of documents requested by the tax authority.
  • Response on the tax authorities’ arguments after litigation/tax refund.

HR tasks

  • Reviewing all employee files and report any missing document to the HR manager
  • Provide technical support in litigation with employees and represent the company before the labour administration

Legal & Procedures

  • Prepare in line with the group financial controller and the account officer of the company policies and procedures.
  • Provide practical training on specific areas of the company procedures.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the policies and procedures and responding to any violations
  • Prepare Legal papers (minutes of general assembly, CCE…) and answer questions from employees
  • Represent and defend the company in any legal, social and tax matters before the court/ authorities
  • Liaise with legal firms for all corporate matters and anticipate any change in the legal framework

Person Specification

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in Law
  • Proven experience (5 years) in a legal or risk management department
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a change environment
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of people, both spoken and written (French and English)
  • Good team-player
  • Service-oriented, flexible and discreet
